| Chattering Jaw I have noticed that when my 4 month old Yorkie is playing tug of war or just playing sometimes her bottom jaw quivers like when a human is cold and their teeth start chattering. Her teeth don't actually hit together but her bottom jaw looks like it's chattering (it goes on for about 5 seconds). It doesn't seem to bother her and i was wondering if this is normal? Maybe she is putting to much stress on her jaw while playing?? Any advice would be great!

| She's just excited you play with her and she's waiting for you to give her the toy back. Trixie does it all the time and I think it's the cutest thing!

My little guy did that when Maddie was in heat too! LOL! I was wondering what the heck was wrong with him. He would stick his little tongue out while he was doing it too.

| I have only ever seen a male do that when a female is in heat. Isn't that something that so many other Yorkies do the same thing as yours. There is always something new on here for me . |

| reflex I think it's more like some sort of reflex they bite hard on the toy to pull on it or something similar and once they don't have it anymore they do this I guess to replace their jaw... It's 100% normal as you can see almost every one does this LOL!!! It's really cute though... My Chloe does this when I play with her... Marc-o |

| Wow, that makes me feel better. Thanks everyone! My older Yorkie Ruby never does the chattering thing so that's why it kinda scared me. But i'm glad it's just a normal Yorkie thing and plus it is kinda cute
