| Mia, sore outside of her mouth. Looks like a little fur ball next to her lip area. It is cracking a little bit of skin nearby. If it were my child I would soak it, then put polysporin, and clean the area. Not sure what to do with my darling pooch! Any suggestions before I take the plunge and spend 160.00 and up on a vet visit? |

| Could you post a close up photo of the area? I know most of us will take our furbabies to the doctor more quickly than skin babies sometimes because they are more delicate, but if it is a knot of fur that has pulled until the skin cracked, that treatment sounds appropriate to try 1st. If it looks like a lesion, you might want to go see the vet in the am and see if a biopsy is needed. It could just be a viral sore, like a fever blister, I guess...I assume dogs can get those, too...

| Need 4 hands to do a picture! It is more like a fur ball. I will see if hubby can help me get a picture. Im going to clean it, and try to remove some fur. Perhaps she will let me today! Thank you. |

| Our little Lolita (may she RIP) used to get what looked like her lip was rotting on her lower lip. First time this happened we rushed her to the vet and to my surprise they told me it was hair and trimmed it. She chewed her beard hair alot so guessing thats what caused it with her.
