| Kennel Cough....once again this weekend...lola was hacking a lil..then cedric. i thought at first they might be fishing for extra attention because when keylo coughs she gets attention to be calmed down. last night i was up sick and lola was really hacking bad and it felt like she was feverish....needless to say it was a loooooong night. off to the vet this morning with her and cedric. they both had fevers....and the vet couldnt really trigger the coughing but it was because they were both nervous...they do not like going to the vet. the vet said its been three weeks after keylos arrival. i dont know the reason behind that but everyones immune system is different.. i do remember reading on here that sometimes kennel cough takes two or three doses of antibiotics before full recovery. so anyway im just thankful the meds are working and my babies are feeling better. keylo is on her second rx of antibiotics. im thinking once this second is finished i may even ask for one more. her cough is so much better and i think we are almost outta the woods!! then i will go from there with the CT diganosis for absolute confirmation.

| Poor babies. . I'm so sorry. It is hard enough to be sick but to have your fur babies sick too is terrible.

| With kennel cough being highly contagious, I wonder why the vet didn't tell you to keep the dogs separate from the new arrival? Weird! I hope all of your little darlings are feeling much better quickly

| thanks everyone. i feel a bit better today. took one more day off from work! the vet thought it was kennel cough on friday but then on monday (the first week home) she diagnosed it as CT. she never told me to keep them seperate though......on friday with the kennel cough diagnosis.. this is why i am searching for a new vet and someone with small breed experience but i dont want to have to travel an hour away...the tough part in case of an emergency. so im still looking. thanks for the well wishes...lola slept so much better last night. phew. i was worried.

| Sorry to hear about the CT for your little one. About the vet not hearing the cough.... we had a coughing problem here last year, but it turned out to be kennel cough. My girls would not cough for the vet, but I was able to get them coughing on video on my phone. The vet said the diagnosis was easy, after watching/listening to it.
