| Collapsing Trachea Got back from the vet with Milly a few minutes ago and they suspect she has a collapsing trachea...she has been having a 'honking' cough in the middle of the night for the past 3 weeks or so, it used to happen maybe once a week and when I reassure her at night it goes away...however last night this happened about 5 times which prompted me to do some research on the internet and I came across collapsing trachea...booked an emergency appointment at the vet and she is due for an x-ray on Wednesday...I feel completely shattered. Has anyone else experienced this? If so will my baby survive in the long run...I feel lost...

| One of our yorkies has always had a small/collapsing trachea. As long as she doesnt get to excited or over heated it doesnt bother her much. We also give her benadryl which helps. (OK per the vet). She can only go on small walks, like once around the block. So far it has never been too serious. |
