| Mandie's at the Vet Right Now My poor baby got stung by a yellow jacket. We were outside and I was picking up a limb that fell from the tree during the storms yesterday and I heard her screaming bloody murder. I ran to her and she was running around like crazy and running straight for the back door. It took me a couple of times to pick her up. She was scared and yelping. I got her inside and had my husband hold her on the bed and right away I saw a yellow jacket on the front of her mouth. I got it off but she screamed even more when we tried to check her over...down on her hind quarters. Then she peed..on the bed and on me when I picked her up. I freaked out and knew she must still have a stinger in her...my husband just called from the vet and she DID. My poor baby!!

| Thanks y'all. She's home now. She had TWO stingers in her (one in her hip and one in her neck/behind her ear). The vet gave her a steroid shot and some benadryl. She won't come out of her carrier yet. Her big brother wants to help her but he can't get near her...she keeps growling when he sticks his head by her carrier. You have to know them...they are inseparable and she has never growled at him. He doesn't understand. Poor guy. Whew...interesting morning. Now, I have to head out to work. Daddy's in charge of the spoiling of both until I get home

| Had to post this on my way out the door. She loves carrot sticks so I laid some in front of her. This is my Mandie, safe and sound in her "cave" (aka carrier)

| That wee muffin, get well soon. Teegy got stung on the paw last month, I've never heard him yelp like that ever and he was limping, I gave him benadryl and he slept through it and was all better after. So happy to discover he wasn't allergic to them as I've heard horror stories from friends about their dogs. |

| wow what a scare, Lola like I think most yorkies tries to catch bees when they are buzzing around her. I was holding her at a fair this weekend and the bees were awful, I got stung and one of my friends got stung, luckily Lola did not although she was gunning for them. Hope Mandie will be better soon, what a fright for you and your DH, glad he was home and able to help

| Your poor little baby! I hope she is feeling better soon. The Benadryl should calm her down some. Must be the bees were stirred up because of the tree going down? Gracie thinks she is the great bug hunter of the back yard. I'm always having to watch what her mouth is doing. Hope your little girl is feeling better soon. |

| Poor little Mandie has really been traumatized. I'm so glad she's had her treatment and can now start to get better. Like dogs tend to do, hopefully she will make a full physical & psychological recovery and get back to her normal life as soon as possible.
