| Our Bella is sick. Posted earlier about brown or white rice because I wanted to make Bella a starchy meal, her stool was a little loose early in the day. Well since then she had 2 more all watery stools back to back, so I didn't fool around and called the vet on call. I knew from reading this site how fast these little ones can go down hill. She said not to wait, so we got there: did bloodwork, gave her fluids and sent her home with meds. They are not sure what is causing it, so it will be a wait and see. WE ARE A WRECK! How could she get sick so fast, she is only 16 weeks.

| sorry to hear Bella is not well. Have you switched her foods since she's come home? Sometimes switching foods to rapidly can cause stomach issues.

| Aaaw feel better, Little Mama. Maybe she got something and gobbled it and you didn't see. When Maxximus had a mushy then watery, his vet found nothing either. They gave him meds for tummy. Hubby swears he didn't give him any people food so I have to assume he found something when with my son. Hoping she feels better soon.

| Yep, this can be a major cause of tummy troubles. What do you feed her?

| No nothing different.....I make certain I don't drop anything. But I must have. I only feed her Royal Cain Yorkie Puppy dry food and give her "Pet Botanics" mini training reward treats (from USA). I was giving her Honey Nut Cheerios as treats, but read they are not good....bought the regular ones and she just walked away......

| I sure hope she is okay, some natural things like banana or pumpkin are good for upset tums, better yet a probiotic. I say this because if the dog is having stomach issues feeding it grains or fibre which are harder for their system to process, might make the problem worse. I would suggest yoghurt for it's probiotic content and cooked chicken as it's pure protein and much easier on her wee system. As a wee puppy, no offence to anyone else, stay away from processed corn or grain products. I hope pup recovers completely and there is nothing terribly wrong. My friend had consistently runny poop issues with her Yorkie pup and even after vet care and meds it didn't clear up. She put him on a raw diet and has never had an issue since |

| Until your baby is feeling better it might be best just to feed her the food she is accustomed to eating and whatever treatment you may choose for the diarrhea. Pure pumpkin has been known to help as well as the probiotics. When she is better then you can add whatever treat but only do one at a time and wait before you add anything different. By adding one additional ingredient at a time and waiting you will be able to pinpoint any food that may be an issue to her. Hope she is feeling better soon. |
