| Rash, Hair Falling, Soft Stool HELP! Hello, I am happy to join YT, have found it very useful in the past and have now decided to join since I have some issues with my baby girl and can't figure out exaclty why this is happening to her. A little background info, she is a 1 1/2 female yorkie 3.5lbs, I switched her from Royal Canin-Yorkie to Wellness about 3 weeks ago and about 3 days ago I noticed soft stool and that she was scratching constantly. Last night I noticed a rash under her chin, I guess neck area and started checking the rest of her body and is red around her legs and tummy. I also started seeing chunks of hair around the house. I checked for fleas or any kind of bug and couldnt find anything. Would this have anything to do with switching her food? She was completely fine until 3 weeks. Also, her energy level is normal she's still drinking water but doesnt eat as much. I plan on taking her to the vet but wanted to get an idea here. I greatly appreciate your help and glad to finally be a part of yorkie talk Ailed |

| I would suspect a food allergy. My Bella is allergic to chicken, of all things, and it is in almost everything.

| I would have the vet do a skin scrape and check for mites

| Welcome to YT! Your baby's issue could very well be food related, as it does take weeks and sometimes months for any changes due to food to make themselves apparent. It would be good to check with your vet though, just in case there is something else going on. I hope she's better soon

| I would get her into the vet asap. It could be something to do with her food or it could be something worse... Losing hair is not good.

| I wouldn't feed her anymore of the new food either. The vet will be able to at least make her more comfortable.
