Puppy acting strange My five and a half month old Yorkie , Chewie, was napping in his crate when he woke up yelping loudly as if in pain. I comforted him and he settles back down for a minute. He then started yelping again so I brought him up with me, but when I touched his tummy, he yelped again. He started shaking and clinging to me, his tummy is also very hard an taut. He did just finished gulping down a bunch of water , so that could be it, but I am still worried . Any ideas ?

PUPPY + TAUNT ABDOMEN + YELPING IN PAIN WHEN ABD. TOUCHED = ?? POSSIBLE OBSTRUCTION FROM SOMETHING HE SWALLOWED => VET VISIT! If pup woke up from nap yelping with pain, I wouldnt risk it....if he HAS swallowed something that could be blocking him, you can loose bowel by waiting....if it was ME, I would already be on my way....drinking water until his tummy is taunt, should not cause him pain......just me...

Unfortunately our vet was closed yesterday, so I kept an eye on him closely all night. He was lethargic for quite a while and restless all night. I noticed he was making burping noises, thinking it was too much air in his tummy? This morning my baby was all back to normal, running and teasing kitty, eating like normal, as well as his usual bathroom routine. I will watch for further problems, but for now all is good
