| Help? Maximus on tuesday became to have dirrahea due to too much nutrical. Then on tuesday night he became disoriented due to low blood sugar. I gave him karo and 10 mins he seemed to be doing fine. Starting on wednesday he began eating and drinking water as usually. But on Friday he ate six times, but only by me putting the food on my finger and letting him lick or bite it off. He was drinking water on his own during the day. Now Tonight on friday he was starting to get harder stool, couple of times. Now he is back to dirrahea again, he got low blood sugar again. There is no blood in stool at all, he is still running around and stuff and he just ate a few bites of food off my finger, but he seems to not wanna have anything to do with water? Is maximus gettin sick cause he is not drinking? Does he have a stomach problem? is he stressed from a new home and needs medication?? Someone please give me a reply? I have been up all night can't sleep?? I am scared and worried? My finance is planning on calling the vet in the morning and seeing what they say. cause yesterday (friday) he was doing just great!! How do I get him to drink and starting eating out of the bowl? Also, I just got him on sunday, Just wondering if its stress, cause my breeder said sometimes that they might need to be put on medication to control the stress and dirrahea?? is this true?? |

| I see these changes in Toto after stressful situations ... i.e. ... we just came back after a trip and both the flights were horribly stressful for all three of us. Toto hasn't eaten in two days and pretty much just lies in her carrier and sleeps! She is still drinking and she will get up and wander around and lie on our laps for awhile. Maximus is probably just under a lot of stress, especially since you recently brought him home. Calling the vet is a good idea just to rule out anything other than all the changes for him. We find too that just cuddling Toto seems to reassure her and she is soon back to normal. How old is Maximus? You might try giving him a little rice with chicken, cottage cheese, yogurt, etc. ... the only problem with doing that is that I have a hard time getting Toto to eat her dog food after having "the good stuff"! But we do whatever it takes to get some nourishment in those little tummies! Please keep us updated!!

| Yeah, well my breeder says that it is the stress, heck I'm so stressed about it I have got dirrahea too! Maximus is almost 8 weeks old, in a couple days. He just very particular about his food and water I think. He went to the vet on tuesday, and they checked him for parvo but he tested negative so i know that is ruled out. I just hope he gets better I keep praying and praying. I feel like maybe I am doing something wrong that maybe i should just let him drink when he wants to but I don't know I feel bad. Maximus is still running around and stuff, my finance and I just forced him to drink some water, I don't maybe we are doing something wrong I don't know. He seems to be sleeping fine, maybe I should just let him be check on in every once in awhile and let him get water and food when he wants too?? maybe? |

| puppy Right now he can not be left alone..take him to the vet. Do what the vet says. Don't give him different foods.. These things are so common when breeders let pups leave too early..12 weeks is the least they should leave. The vet will give you meds..and you have to watch that he does nto get overly tired..he needs a play period, then nap times. Do not depend on your puppy to know when he needs rest..he will play until he is exhausted if you let him. good Luck |

| Take him to the vet. They will probably put him on an antibiotic and something like kaopectate for the diahrea. Thats what they did for Chachi when he was little and had diahrea.

| He is doing some what better, he went to the vet this morning and my finance took a stool sample the vet said that his stomach didn't have the microorganisms in his stomach to keep his food in long enough. So he put him on this gel stuff that will help his stomach and hopefully get him in the mood to eat and drink water. He has ate alittle bit today but mostly has slept. Since the vet gave him a shot to hydrate him he said that would last at least a day and a half. So hopefully after he gets sleep and this medication in him he will start to feel better. |
