| Bailey has IBS and is a picky eater?? Good afternoon all, Bailey has had IBS since I first got her. A few weeks ago she turned sick and discharged mucus and blood in her stool. Since then she had not eaten and refused everything we were giving her. She is still drinking plenty of water and never lost her energy. We went to the vet and they prescribe her medication but now I have a delima. Bailey has finally started to eat boiled chicken I made for her. The only problem is she refuses to eat anything else. I even mixed it with her prescription canned food and she seperated the 2 ingredients. I wanted to know if any of you had issues like this and what can you feed your dogs? Bailey is on ZD Utlra Alergen. This all started when she ate my sister Costco food and since then she had an upset stomach and now she is regaining her force but dont know which direction to do for food as she wont eat anything else but chicken?? Please help...

My dog has had three episodes of bloody diarrhea and she had a lot of mocus in her bowel movements as well. The first one occured February 2011, the next December 2011, and then January 2012. They diagnosed her with hemorrhagic gastroenitis, but now they believe she may have inflammatory bowel disease. She has been vomiting frequently since early december 2011. Has your dog been vomiting too?

It took daisy a day or two to have a bowel movement after the bloody stool. Four days though I would probably check with the vet. I've called my vet do much she's probably going to block my number. I figure I rather be safe and question everything

Hi, i have a 2yr old yorkie his name is Dugan my little baby who also suffers with tummy problems and has had bloody stools and is sick alot. Although he had been to the vet several times, but no answers except the told me to give him pepcid but he just got worse. He gets better for a few days than he starts shaking and I know thats when he is going to get sick. I give him chicken with rice that I prepare myself and seems to help. I also started him with no grain dog food which cleans his system out. I just give him about half a cup. Once he poops he feel better and starts running around playing with the other dogs. So its all a mystery to me!! He is going back to vet tomorrow for a check up and i have really have to talk to the vet about this again! But I know how you feel. I hope your baby gets better!! please let me know how your baby is doing and I will keep in touch.

brodydugan-my pup has been doing the same things since the beginning of december. Has your vet run test and if so what for? Also is your pup sound like its burping and vomiting in its mouth at all. Mine does this throughout the day and it just makes me worried the reglan is masking what is wrong with her. I too changed her food. I think its helping but cant tell since shes on reglan and pepcid (not sure which of the three is helping or maybe its all three of them). Also did yours have a lot of diarrhea or just when it had the bloody episode?

jamie06283- my 2 yr. old Dugan has being doing ok for a couple of days now. The vet suggested i keep track of evertything he eats and the amount of food. My husband and I noticed that when Dugan eats too much, because sometimes he doesnt know when to quit, he gets really sick. My husband always pointed that out to me before and I didnt want to believe it. When he consumes alot of food he starts shaking than he gets lathargic and doesnt want to be touched. And of course gets up and poops diarrhea and its not bloody all the time, but he feels better after awhile. I think the diet he is on helps alot too. I dont give him table food only baked chicken or chicken with rice w/no seasonings. And no the vet didnt think to run tests yet?? When Dugan get diarrhea its alot of spots even under the bed. I cant tell you how many times I have had to clean blood off my carpet. I feel so sorry for him and i do worry all the time even though the vet says its common for yorkies to have sensitive tummies. And yet this is all still questionable to me. Oh also Dugan doesnt burp or throw up i his mouth maybe because I dont give him pepcid, idk if that is why. I say that because thats what pepcid does to me when I take it for my acid reflux. please keep me posted on your lil one and i will do the same. good talking to you and hope your baby gets better!!
