| Surgery Update Thought I would update on Bodie's knee surgery - Bodie had his surgery on 1/11, everything went fine for the surgery. Several days later, he had bloody diarrhea so off we go to the vet. Discountinued the anti inflammatory, gave new meds for his diarrhea. 2 days later, back to normal, everything fine . Visit to the surgeon today to have stitches removed and evaluated. Recovery going great, we can now walk 15 mins/day. The recovery is much harder than I had anticipated, knew it wouldn't be a picnic but I never imagined! First few days were not so bad, kept him on a pillow in my lap and when I needed to move him, I could lift pillow and all, transferring him into his stroller and keep him with me. After he was feeling a little better, Bodie was having none of it. Kept standing, scratching to get out of the stroller so I had to go to the crate. It's soooo hard to listen to them beg to get out. And good old Bodie doesn't whine like a dog, he cries like a baby. How is a mother's heart suppose to handle that? I sympathize with anyone having to go through this process. I can now take a 10 sec shower and fix our meals with one hand. Although one arm is looking a little like Popeye's... LOL I'm now thinking of adding a padded room to the house. Out of the 2 of us, only one is going totally crazy, guess which.... Now, he is headed for much needed bath. Yea!! I certainly appreciate the few who kept us in their prayers, sent good thoughts or asked about his recovery. Thank you! It's nice to know you are not alone in this process.

| I am so happy to hear that Bodie is doing so well. Had to laugh about his crying...I have a cry baby here that I once had to take care of after surgery...handful!

| Thanks for the update. Glad to hear Bodie's recovery is going well. I don't envy you and keeping fingers and paws crossed we never have to crate Toby for anything as he goes ballistic in a crate. I'm sure that comes from his time in a puppy mill. I bet you are glad he can now have a bath too. Please keep us posted.
