Broken tooth? Sophia is 9 months old and has 2 retained baby teeth. So, I thought for sure I was going to have to get them removed next time she was under. I looked today and I saw that one of them fell out, or so I thought. I looked closer and I can see a really tiny triangle shaped thing coming out of her gum. I felt it, and it feels like her tooth . There's a little blood on the gums, so she must have lost it recently. I'm going to take her to the vet tomorrow. Does anyone know what I should expect?

If it is a part of a baby tooth, your vet may still want to try to remove it. Your vet is absolutely the best person to ask. Good luck tomarrow.

Yeah, I was figuring they would want to extract it. Poor Sophia can't get a break! 2 hernias, chronic diarrhea, now a broken tooth! Thank goodness for insurance . And her hernia repair didn't hold, so I guess they should fix that then too. I'm just freaking out... like I normally do. Overprotective momma.

I dont think you can be an overprotective mommie unless you keep them from growing emotionally. You sound like a good mommie. Let us know how the vet visit goes. Im sorry that you are both going through all of this.

| Good news! The vet said it needs to be removed at some point, but it's not urgent! So he said probably next time she has to go under for something, they'll remove it along with her other baby tooth.
