| Constantly licking nose, and sounds stuffy Hey guys! I have a quick question. My Leia has been constantly licking her nose now for a couple weeks. I mean she will go to town on it for at least 15-20 minutes at a time. I felt her nose, and there are no hotspots, as I first suspected. I have since then just been thinking that it is just a nervous habit. She is not lethargic, and eats and drinks regularly. Today, my husband pointed out to me that it sounds like her nose is a little stuffy, like when we have allergies, or are starting to get a cold. I have taken her temp, and it is normal. The weather here on the gulf coast of Mississippi has been going back and forth between warm and cool lately, so maybe it is just that? Do you have any ideas on either issue? Should I be more worried? My other dog, a maltipoo, has never done the nose licking thing, nor has he ever been sick, so I'm not sure what to do. Thanks for your help! |

| Some dogs do lick when they are nervous or bored, however if she's sounding like her nose is a bit plugged then she very well could have allergies. I would probably have your vet check her out just to be on the safe side. Welcome to YT ! |
