| Sadie is not feeling well today. Prayers for her tummy please. Sadie has been acting a little mopey and today she didn't really want her breakfast so we gave her 1/4 pepcid and went to our breakfast meeting and came home. When we got home she threw up and has thrown up tiny little bits of yellow bile a few times. Time to go to a bland diet for the night and I've got her on crate rest to keep her settled and calmer. Thinking about calling the vet and asking for how much cerenia I can give her to help stop the little vomiting, but sometimes it's a good thing to throw up what's made a tummy yucky so I don't wanna stop it just yet. She's fine otherwise, just a tummy ache and a little throwing up. Kinda runny stools too. Prayers for Miss Sadie that she gets to feeling better soon. If she doesn't feel better after rest and bland food we'll be making a vet trip. |

| I would definitely call the vet. Usually they recommend not feeding any food for the first 24 hours, but you should check with them. Hope it passes quickly. If she continues to vomit, she needs to be seen....as you know they can go down quickly.

| Rachel I just re read your post. Honestly, it is not a good idea to allow a pup to continue to throw up!! That could lead to dehydration. Please call the vet if she remains ill.

| Hope she is feeling better soon. Does she have tummy issues often? I know with my Rosie it usually ends up with a vet visit. Don't want to cause panic but I learned the hard way about not taking her in. Now the first signs of tummy issue we start with a call and then a vet visit. Sending prayers and hugs to Sadie.

| decided to give her cerenia since i had the dosage from last time. she hasn't vomited since and she's perked up and playful. she is up and around fine, i can tell her tummy is gurgly and she has gas, but other than that she's much better. no food tonight. will do some boiled chicken and rice tomorrow and see how she holds up. i think she's feeling much better just hoping it's not the meds keeping her that way and she stays that way even after meds wear off. if anything got worse i promise we'd be at the vets in a hurry, but for a simple tummy ache that i already have all the same meds a vet would give anyways i'd rather stay home with her and not spend the extra money on ER bills for them to do the exact same thing I just did. She was drinking fine, had her cerenia and earlier her pepcid and she's bouncing back. i did talk to my vet tech friend and she agreed with everything i was already doing. seems like it's working fine so far. hope she feels herself tomorrow and eats her bland food well. thanks for the prayers |
