| Jimmy is shivery after immunizations Hi, Jimmy got his Lepto and DAP shots today and now he is sad and shivering. It is just kind of strange because he is 3 and I don't remember him being sad or having any type of reacting in the past. Any thoughts? |

| Yes, tell your vet and see what to do. My dog has done this before and nothing came of it and the vet told me worse things to watch for but I alerted him first. Always check with the vet when there is any reaction after an treatment is my rule of thumb.

| I would call the vet and let them know his symptoms so they can tell you if it's a reaction they want treated. Hoping he feels better!

| He could be having a reaction to the lepto. Even though they have had it before and been fine they can have a reaction later. Now My Jewels did the shiver thing after one of her vaccinations and she never did it again with later vaccinations. She does get lepto also. It might be good to call your vet and let them know whats going on but they are probably just tell you to keep an eye on him because dogs can shiver and it just be a light reaction to a vaccination

| I called the vet (who is super awesome) and he suggested that I give him 7.5 mg on benedryl. Jimmy is still sad (and possibly a little bit dopey from the Benedryl) but he ate his dinner. |

| Glad to hear you called and glad to hear he's eating. That's a good sign. My Jilly always was shaky after her shots but Tibbe doesn't seem to miss a beat.
