| Darla is having seizures Darla had a dental last Tuesday and has had two seizures since. She had one that night and yesterday. BW and xrays are pretty normal. Dr started her on Zonisamide and Clindamycin. She is about 11 1/2 years old and has never had any problems, since we have had her. I am so worried. I should not have had that dental done. The vet said we can get an mri to rule out a tumor. Or it might be an infection causing it. I am going to have further tests done tomorrow. I was curious if anyone else's yorkies have had this occur after anesthesia?

| I am very sorry for Darla and you and I pray the doctors can determine the cause of the seizures quickly and find a solution.

| Never a problem after a dental, but 14 1/2 year old Maxine may have had either a seizure or slight stoke several months ago. THought we were going to lose her, but she bounced back at the Vets. MRI will help diagnose. |

| Yes she was on Clindamycin before and after. I work at a vet's office. So I did everything by the book. Bloodwork before the dental, IV cath and fluids, heating pad after. I fed her as soon as she was awake enough to eat. They thought the first one was just from the anesthesia. But obviously now we know it's something more. We are doing a urinalysis and sending out more BW tomorrow.

| Urinalysis looked okay. So we are doing a T4 and Bile Acids test on Wednesday. Hopefully she won't have any more but we don't know.

| My Jasper had seizures occasionally after neutering. They scared the heck out of me when he had them but he did not seem to suffer. He would be a bit clingy and tired afterward. I think they scared him. He would have them every couple of months at the beginning and then less frequently as he aged. I Think it was from the anethesia. He did live a very heathy life other than this issue and lived to the age of 15. Harry |

| I am glad Jasper lived a long life. Hopefully Darla will too.
