| Blood in Urine, Leaking from Vulva! HELP! I have a 10 year old yorkie named Molly who is very much my baby and I'm freaking out. When I came home to my mother's house where we stayed overnight for a visit I found Molly with feces caked to her butt and then I saw some brownish red blood on her legs and at the time I thought nothing of it really because she was in a cage with her daughter who was injured in a dog bite from another Yorkie so I thought maybe it was from that. Anyways, I gave her a bath and everything, then we drove an hour south to where I live. When I went to pick Molly up from the back seat of my car she jumped before I touched her and quickly licked her female parts. When I looked closer I saw she was dripping this now more reddish brown blood. I grabbed her and got her out of the car and on the ground where the dripping stopped after about say... 5 large to medium sized drips. I cleaned her again and put her in the crate and let her rest. She came into heat last month so I don't think it's heat. I though it was all over then. So after 2 hours of nothing happening I took her out to drink and pee, well she got a drink and before I could stop her she squatted and peed, looking at me in terror cuz she knows she is being bad but when I leaned over to grab paper towels I saw her blood was fairly well saturated with blood, this time beefy red blood. I'm terrified and starting crying because I've had this dog all her life, since 9wks. If something happen to her.... She's so tiny, only about 4lbs and has always been thin so something like this is life threatening to her. Anyone have a clue as to what's going on? The vet's open at 7:30, we are calling them first thing and going to get her into a visit. She is not spayed either, which was going to be getting done soon to hopefully fatten her up a bit. I hope she is alright, and I know I won't be sleeping tonight... |

| You might want to take the dog to an emergency vet instead of waiting until the morning.

| ^^ Especially in case she is in pain. Has the dog with the bite been examined by a vet?

| I think you should take her to an ER vet. Is there one close to you? I don't think I would wait until the morning. I think she needs to be seen.

| The Dog bite is on another dog, Molly was not involved in the fight at all. She seems okay now, tired but resting and still eating her treats and drinking lots of water |

| Here is some info for you:Blood in the Urine in Dogs | petMD I understood that Molly was not involved in the dog bite incident. The dog that was bitten should be examined by a vet. Welcome to YorkieTalk. Sorry it had to be under these circumstances. Keep us updated on Molly.

| Oh sorry, Yes the other dog was examined and it's suppose to be bandaged, it wasn't bad but just to keep it cleaner. Anyway, we took the bandage of to let the air get to it and with her being in her bed we figured she wouldn't move around too much. It was really bad, it was more of a cut than bite. We have a few dogs that are suppose to be seperated because they do not get along and we had a friend over and she wanted to visit Boo Boo and Lilly Bugs and well she didn't know. Anyway, Boo Boo is fine and doesn't even limp that much, unless she does something bad, then she acts like her leg is broken to get out of being in trouble. |

| Not only could this be a bladder issue, it could be pyometra. If I were you, I would have her at the emergency vet immediately! Blood coming from either area is not normal and is great cause for concern! ACVS - Pyometra in Dogs & Cats The other with a dog bite should be seen asap. Dog bites cause nasty infections. Take a look at this thread...granted the pup was mauled by a large dog, but even a small one can introduce terrible bacteria into a wound! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...s-graphic.html

| I don't know why it says my post had to be evaluated by a mod but I'm trying it again. The other dog, BooBoo has been examined. It's not very big nor is it deep, Boo likes to play it up when she does something bad just to get our sympathy. Two of our dogs don't get along and a friend didn't know that and let them both come out to play and they fought. It's healed over with a scab and looks healthy so the vet just gave us some ointment to put on it and said to bandage it when she's out in the yard to keep it clean. I'll let everyone know about Molly when I can. Can't happen at a worse time with being recently unemployed and having just moved to the area but we will get through it. She's my lil trooper. |

| I am not trying to frighten you but this could be very serious. Please call your Vet and tell him/her what is going on. If your Vet can not see her tonight, IMO it would be best to take her to an ER. Older dogs that have finished a heat cycle are more likely to get an infection in the uterus. The infection can spread very quickly and they can die.
