| My baby has cataract surgery today I am going crazy worrying about my poor little 2.5 yr old Austin who is in surgery for cataract today. Many tears this am as I handed him over to the Vet tech. House is so empty without him running around under my feet. Prayers please for my furbabe, his surgery and post-op/successful recovery. Thank you and love and empathy to others who are going through similar pain. |

| Sending prayers for your precious Austin for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. It is hard leaving these little ones at the vet for surgery. Please keep us updated when you can.

| Sending prayers for Austin and his worried family. I agree how empty the house is when the furry babies are not there..too quiet! I pray the operation goes smoothly and successfully and Austin recovers quickly and fully.

| Cataracts Thank you so much everyone for your kind words and prayers. It is comforting to know others care. I am sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for news from the hospital and hoping and praying all is well. As for the early onset, I too was shocked and devastated. The Vet said it can be due to diabetes (which thank God he does not have) or genetic - which he assumed it was. I adopted him at 1.5 years old and had little info on his history or origins. All I knew was that he was a sweet dog and very healthy from Vet exams/tests at the time. About 8 months after adoption he was diagnosed with the dreaded cataract in the right eye that had to be surgically removed fairly soon to prevent terrible complications, and he has the beginnings of cataract in the other eye that we are watching. Poor little babe, having to go through this twice! Thanks too for understanding how bad I feel for him. Perhaps the Vet's office should provide Valium for concerned Moms! I will post again when I get any news. Thank you all for being so kind. Marge |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I am sorry about your little Austen. I hope the surgery is success and hope he recovers quickly. My thoughts and prayers are with you as well as your little baby. It is so hard to leave them. I remember when I dropped Taycie off for her spay, I was a nervous wreck and I cried the entire way home. It is so rough leaving them.
