| Please help me with poor shadow I'm new to this forum, my name is Diana...my friend Deeda9999 with Gilmore and Skittles said this is the greatest place!! My Shadow is 7 months old and two and a half weeks ago-- he was very healthy until I decided to have him neutered. Problems started 2 days after he came home. His back legs became lame. After 2 weeks of tests and trips to the hospital he has been diagnosed with GME. A chronic inflammation of the spinal cord. They told me he could be managed with meds but basically he would never regain use of his legs and his prognosis was very poor. It is breaking my heart. I don't know what to do. My children are devastated. |

| Oh, what a devastating thing to have happened. What it completely unrelated to the surgery? I am unfamiliar with that condition but I will pray that this baby is not in pain and can have a good, good life if he can live without a lot of pain and once you learn how to help him get around. What a tragedy to happen to such a young little doggie. It breaks my heart and I will be keeping Shadow and you in my prayers.

| I am so sorry. I have no experience with GME. I wish I could tell you more about it. Hopefully someone here will have the knowledge you need. Sending you prayers.

| I'm sorry your baby is sick. You might want to look into accupuncture as it is very good for helping heal nerve damage. Welcome to YT. |

| I am so sorry. Here is a link with information that might help. There are members who have had pups with GME...I am going to PM a couple that might help support you through this. Granulomatous Meningoencephalitis
