| Odd skin problem, please help. This morning I discovered I white flaky patch of skin on my Yorkie Delilah Martin. I cannot seem to figure out what it is. She was going to get a bath this afternoon, and I don't want to give her one if it will make it worse. The patch/ scab is about an inch somewhat and round, but it doesn't seem like ringworm. I have seen that on other animals in the past and I don't know that it's that. It also seems to break open easily. I was just touching it and moving it around a little this morning and it caused a few cracks to open and bleed, but it wasn't normal bright red colored blood, it was more creamy, like it was mixed with a puss or something. She isn't bothering it, not itching, or even trying to lick or anything, I just don't know what it is. I can't imagine that if she was hurt, and the wound was that large that I wouldn't have noticed as she is pretty much attached at my hip. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I have attached a picture of the patch below. As well as a picture of Delilah enjoying the summer weather a few weeks ago. (She doesn't always wear clothing, actually she rarely wears clothing, so that's not it). Last edited by SGP; 08-22-2011 at 10:57 AM. |

| I would have the vet take a look at it. Since there is a creamy looking blood from it, you may need to get an antibiotic or topical cream for it. Good Luck! Hope everything works out OK. |

| I would definitely have a vet look at it.
