| Bella got into the kitchen This morning when I walked Bella I noticed her poop was green and strange looking. Normally she'll just go once in the morning but I noted she had gone again on her peepee pad. Again, it was a bright green color and stripy looking. I realized I had a bag of sweetened coconut stripes in the kitchen (which was dyed blue for cookie monster cupcakes). The bag was pretty big but I'm assuming she probably didn't eat more than a handful (at the most). Does anyone know if this is bad for her? Should I be concerned? |

| From what I can find on the Internet, coconut does not appear to be toxic to dogs, but it is a variety of saturated fat that depending on how the body metabolizes it could cause problems. What other ingredients were in the product? How much did your dog consume? I would call your vet's office and talk to them.

| The green is probably from the blue food coloring and the stringy appearance would be the fibers of the coconut. I would give your vet a call to see what they think.
