| Need advice I work with a rescue here in my area. Saw a plea for a shi tzu maltese mix that was hit by a car on Tues and the people who found him took him to the vet on thrus but can' afford the medical bills. They have been trying to raise money. Anyways our rescue is trying to get the release so we can get the little guy treated. My question.... He has a severe break through the joint in his front leg, elbow I believe with bone fragments. His radias is displaced and it is assumed that he has torn ligiments. I thought there is a small window of opportunity to get this type of break repaired. We are going to try to get him to an ortho asap once the release is signed over but I fear that we are too late. He may have to have it amputated. He is only about 1.5 yrs old. |

| I think the orthopedic surgeon looking at the little pup along with xrays * medical history is the only one that can answer your question with any degree of accuracy.
