| Help Need Advice Hello, My little Max (6yrs) has been limping & not able to jump up as much. Took him to our vet who said to see an orthopedic dr. Went to the specialist today & he said Max has an ACL & a Patella problem. I've been reading about this surgery & have gotten mixed views. I hate the idea of putting him through this but the vet (we also got a 2nd opinion same result) said if we don't do it down the line it will get worse. We rescued this little guy almost 2yrs ago. I feel so bad about this. I know when I leave him for the operation he will think we are abandoning him. I really love him & want to do the right thing for him. We live in Brooklyn & went to this wonderful dr. who also runs a 24/7 emerg. service there. Its on Warren Street. Has anyone else heard of this place? Please any info. or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank You Louise |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Does Max have LP? If yes, what grade? Is the ACL torn or? If surgery is needed imminently, my advice would be to get it...bc if there is a tear and a high grade LP - it could be dangerous to let that wait. With knee issues, it's always good to get a 2nd opinion.
