| I'm sorry about your brother being sick... if you Google Lymphoma, many sites come up ... maybe look into new drug trials and such... hopefully he is being seen and under treatment of a good doctor... Home - Lymphoma Research Foundation - Welcome

| Is this a human brother or furry one? It sounds like human, but you refer to a vet. Confused.

| If it is a Pet, the use the same cancer drugs on Dogs that they use on Humans. The key is to see an Oncologist/Internam Medicine Vet. Ours was on Cancer and was on VinBlastine and Prednisone. The Pred makes them eat and drink like Crazy, but the dosage is reduced over time. The Chemo drug is what is important to know out the cells. Best of luck. See a Specialist. |

| Lymphoma has one of the best prognosis, especially if it is the B-cell type. Lymphoma is actually curable in about 50% of the cases. Early detection and treatment is essential, so he needs to be seen by a specialist ASAP, and your vet can refer you to someone. One of my IGs was diagnosed with lymphoma, the T-cell and with chemo, her life was extended two years. Plus, her quality of life was as good as it ever was, except for about the last month and one episode where the type of chemo wasn't good for her. Overall, while expensive, the greatest cost was at the beginning of treatment when she was getting chemo once a week. It was worth every penny! Your boy will be in my thoughts, I hope things go well.
