| surgery today winston had 8 baby teeth out today and the vet sent me home with pain meds. he is to have 1/2 pill every night for six nights. it is novox 25mg. he seems ok since they were done early this morning. doesn't seem to be hurting and has been eating & drinking, he weighs 4.4 and is 8 months. I hate to dope the little guy up if he is not uncomfortable, what do you mom's think? he is my 1st yorkie, I don't want him hurting but I don't take meds unless I have to, I don't want him to take them either unless he needs to, after all he already had anest. today to knock him out! |

| Aw...poor little guy, give kisses for me & Zhoie. She had 13 baby teeth done with her spay and no pain meds were needed. If he seems fine, eating & drinking you could just keep an eye on him. If he appears to be uncomfortable, give him some. They are tuff little bugs.

| I'm glad he did well. I agree about the meds. He just wants to be near you anyway, so I don't think he'll mind you keeping him near.

| Aww. I hope he recovers quickly. I agree to wait on the pain meds and see how he's doing. If you think he is in pain; then you can always give him one.

| back to his old self Winston did well last night. I did end up giving him 1/2 a pill but today he is his old self and I am not giving him any more pain meds. He is eating well and doesn't seem to be bothered by having 8 teeth out yesterday. But he sure was a Mommy's boy last night. Didn't want to stay with DH. He said, "He doesn't want meeeee, he wants his Mommmmmmy." little touch of jealousy there. lol. |

| We did not have to use all the pain meds after neutering and tooth removal. I guess it's good to have the meds in case the pain turns out to be harder to handle. But I don't like to dope up our little guy either. |

| I am glad to hear Winston is feeling better. What a cutie pie. When Buster had his out I only gave him his pain meds the first night too and only after he seemed uncomfortable. This pain medication was different it came in a syringe and you squeezed out a little and rubbed it into his ear. I liked that he did not have to eat it in case it would upset his stomach.
