| My Lily is very sick :( Today I woke up to find Lily limp..not moving. She was still conscious but she just couldn't move. So I immediately called my mom and we took her to our vet. On the way there she pooped on herself..it was very runny still and almost black. And she had seizures. When we got to the vet they took her in right away.. turns out she has Giardia, the nasty parasite. She has had it for awhile the Doctor says. It was easily detectable in her feces and is very bad. And she is hypoglycemic. She still isn't moving..just laying there with her little eyes open. He gives her some honey and places her on a heating pad because her body temperature is low..she perks up a tiny bit. He tells me that I can either take her home and treat her, with a lower chance of her living or keep her at the Vet on IV's and treatments. I chose to keep her there. He gives me a 50/50 chance of her living..he'll call when he knows something more. I am so sad right now. I don't know what to do. |

| I'm so very sorry your new puppy is so sick. I am sending prayers for your sweet puppy. Nutrical is something you want to keep on hand with a new puppy for hypoglycemia. Again, I'm sorry. Let us know how she does. OK?

| I'm so sorry for you and Lily. Giardia is very contagious. Maybe your vet already warned you, but you need to disinfect everything. Any bedding or anything she came in contact with, the floors, etc. She could reinfect herself and you don't want to risk that.

| Oh, I'm so very sorry this is happening to you and your sweet little baby. How old is she and how much does she weigh? I will pray they can get it under control and for her recovery. So sad here for you.

| Thanks ya'll....I wish there was something I could do for her. I feel so helpess..I've only had her for two days but I am already so attached to her. "How old is she and how much does she weigh?" She is 9 weeks..but she is SO tiny the vets questioned or not that that is her real age..I am not sure what her weight is. A pound maybe? If even that.. |

| Oh, dear. Poor Lily should still be with her mom, not fighting for her life in the hospital. |
