| need to panic?? Hey everyone.... Need opinions asap! I had gotten Advantage 20 (Teal Green Pack) for Lucky last evening from his vet. So, today I gave him his bath and applied the first dosage. He has been like rolling around trying to get it off of himself. He is showing no signs of it hurting him, I even checked his skin to see for redness and there's none. Something is telling me that because this dosage is for a 11kg-20kg dog and Lucky is a hair away from maybe 10lbs....could the amount be too strong for him?The Advantage before this one is for dogs up to 10 kgs....should I have maybe went with that one? I am trusting my vet to know which one is best for my furbaby...I will feel so bad if I've over dosed him.....I put his t shirt on him so he isn't rolling around to get it off....he isn't doing anything now just here lying nest to me, so, it's not bothering him.....just me. lol I'm mostly concerned about the weight vs amount...... Please someone tell me it's ok!!! Thanks

| Is he 10 pounds or 10 kilograms?? You said pounds and, if so, that makes him 22 kg. If the Advantage is for 20 kg then he is actually over that, so it would not be too much. Sometimes, they do roll around after you apply it. I have had pups do that and suffer no ill effects. It is just that they feel it, just like they feel water on them and roll to get that off.

There's 2.2 kg/ 1 lb So 10 pounds is just under 5 kg Perhaps you should just call the vet.

| I think they just feel a weird sensation on their skin and want to rub like after a bath. Most products are claimed to be safe even if overdosed by 5 or 10 times, it may list it in the small print inside the package.... I do tend to dose mine closer to their exact weight. Best to call the vet....

| If it is for dogs 11-20 pounds and he is 10, then that was the wrong dose. The vet may have given it thinking that he would grow into the dose quickly. Still an overdose and I'd get the other size. Some of them do that. If it has lasted more than a couple minutes, there could be something more going on (burning at the site, a feeling like something is crawling, systemic allergic reaction). You may need to try and wash off whatever hasn't dried on yet. Best to call the vet.

| I thought the kg was a typo because that would mean dogs over 20 pounds.

No clue. She referred to kg and lb and now I am totally confused. To top it off, I calculated incorrectly anyway..and I SO know how to convert. I definitely need to go flush my brain out.

| I would call the vet, and at the same time ask if they can exchange the remaining doses, I know at my vet they actually sell single doses, so they would be able to do it! Also just a note, I found that buying Frontline and Advantage from my vet is soooo much cheaper than Petco/Petsmart!
