| Same with humans: pour a little alcohol in the ear and turn in back facing downwards. It will draw out most of what is there and alcohol dries evaporates fast so it will dry anything left. (Lots of Drs will tell you do do this when kids swim to avoid ear infections.) Good luck. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | If he doesn't get better he may need some medication - I have a cocker spaniel and we live with this all the time - she has Ear Cleaning Solution - Ear Drying Solution and Baytril and Ottomax - PLUS Pills - There is a way to clean the ear but for now you want to use a ear cleaner or peroxide to get that water out - if you don't see improvement - time to go to the vet and see if they can give you something so it clears up and he's not in pain....GOOD LUCK ...ear infections hurt and can really get nasty if untreated |

| I know that there is a sort of powder you can put in the dog's ear that will help evaporate the water. I usually put it in right after a bath. It's sold @ Petstmart, etc. But if the water has been in there for a while, it may have turned into an infection. You may want to go to the Dr.'s at this point. Hope he feels better!
