| Yorkie Puppy Born with no anus- Now in rescue Hi Everyone, I am a newbie here at YT. I just rescued a yorkie puppy from NY who has no anus & is pooping from her vagina. She is 8 weeks old & had surgery this morning. Has anyone had any exp with this condition? She made it through surgery with no problems but they said they next few days are critical. The little girl will be up for adoption once we get her through this |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | The condition is called imperforate anus. Sounds like she had a fistula, too- which is what enabled her to survive so long without surgery. Glad to know she's in a rescue situation. http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2%202090&aid=303 Rectovaginal fistula with anal atresia in 5 dogs

| Baby Samantha continues to do well at the hospital. I did some research online & found a few dogs who had the surgery & did well long term & some who did not. I guess time will tell. She is actually with A Husky Rescue that saved her.. of you would like to see pics & follow her progress go to HuskyHouse.org |
