YT 2000 Club Member | worried :( This is not yorkie related and Im sorry for posting here, but my little toy poodle lexee is at the vets this morning.... I fed her yesterday morning after taking them out and then I had to leave for awhile. My dogs are always kenneled when I leave. When I got home a few hours later, I took them out to potty as I always do. I did notice that Lexee wasnt her normal bouncy excited self, she peed and headed back toward the house but was hesitant to jump up to the bottom step. When we got into the house she ran right back to her kennel, she NEVER does this. I let her be, she does have some anixety issues and she does get upset with us when we leave, so I thought it was that she was mad. Anyways a few hours later she wonder out to the livingroom, but was acting very wierd. She wouldnt jump up on the couch, when my husband called her and she kept hiding underneath the kitchen table. She is very much a lap dog and loves my husband to peices so when she wouldnt come to him we got really nervous. She was also noticibly shaking pretty hard. My husband crawled under the table to get her, he noticed that her stomach was rock hard. .. So we decided that maybe she had to go poop. We took her outside for a walk and she seemed to perk up some, was walking fine and after about a half hour she did go but it was a small amount. When I went to feel her stomach again, she yelped with just the slightest touch... Hesitant to go back up the stairs again, my husband picked her up and carried her in the house. He said we need to call Ellen, Im very worried about my baby..... Ellen is our vet tech at the vets office that I take my animals.. She only lives a few miles from us so he put her in the car and took her over. She looked her over, took her temp, checked her gums, checked her anal glands, all the checked out ok and agreed that her stomach was very tight. She gave her half of a zantac and he brought her back home. She was very uncomfortable all night and wasnt any better so I called Ellen again and had her take her in this morning. Im not sure what it could be. .. she isnt the type of dog that eats things that she isnt suppose to, she doesnt chew on any toys, bones etc. She isnt around any other dogs but my own, and I havent been around any dogs that have been sick. Any thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated... I will update as soon as I hear something... TIA..

| I'm sorry Lexee isn't feeling well. It's harder because they can't tell us what is going on. Let us know what the vet says.

| xrays Have they done any xrays? Her gut could twist or telescope inside itself. IMO she should be xrayed. Good luck and hoping for the best. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Sorry, I didnt get a chance to update last night. She is home and doing better, she isnt 100 percent but getting there. They didnt find anything immediatly wrong and diagnosed her with having a stomach ache or a virus. They did blood work and did urine and stool samples and it all came back good. They got her to eat and poop a couple of different times that is why Im thinking they didnt do xrays, she wasnt showing signs of being bloated or had a blockage. She is back to jumping on the couches and sitting on my hubby's lap, she still is running away from me and cowers under the table when Im up and moving around that has me upset because she is acting like she is petrified of me and I have never done anything to hurt her... I did get her to eat again this morning and she is pottying good so that is all I really care about right now, hopefully she will come around and be my little lap dog agian soon.. Thanks agian for all your prayers and well wishes, they were very much appreciated..
