| Update on Danny-Boy 26 July 2010 Hi Everyone, I got Danny-Boy back from the Vet on Friday evening. The bill amounted to (roughly translated to US$ - 390US$ (ZAR2300.00)!! Thank goodness for my wonderful husband who opted to pay this on my behalf...he said he will buy me my baby, but the vet bills and food is my baby....so I am very greatful for him getting this tab for me! LOL) Danny is doing just great! He is a different dog! I am highly impressed with the vets who treated him with so much affection! He is eating well, but got a little spoiled on the A/D - so now I am mixing it with his Royal canine. He is still a little lazy to drink water though....any ideas what I can do to get him to drink more water? He is extremely playfull when he is awake, and is so good now - that when he cries infront of my bed - I say "doo-doo" and he listens! LOL We went out yesterday to a nursery and play area - i took my little daugter to the ladies, put some loo-paper on the floor - and true as anything, he went onto the paper and made he's wee-wee. Clever little pumpkin this one! I started to introduce him to my other 4-legged kids yesterday...A great dane bitch called Chivas and a pure-bred mongrel called Whiskey. Well, when Chivas started sniffing he "attacked" her nose! Defnitely a brave little thing, as Chivas will swallow him whole withhout even tasting! But it went well for the first intro. Any good ideas on this will also be very welcome! (Chivas might not be a problem as she is female, but how do I introduce him to a (little bit) grumpy 10 year old male.) Thanks again for all your wise words and support! Will speak soon! |

| So glad he's doing better. You could add a bit of water in with his food to increase his intake. Be very cautious with him around bigger dogs.
