Injured Puppy Our little puppy, Zoey, was injured over the weekend (Saturday). While camping, her lead got tangled with our boxers lead when a stray dog came up. The boxer gave chase, and in doing so the puppy was thrown in the air. It was horrible. We were able to get her to the vet within 15 minutes. While she seemed paralyzed at first, she started moving after a few minutes. X-rays showed no breaks, no spinal cord damage, no esophogus damage. We were at the ER last night (Sunday) for vomiting. We feel so fortunate, but are still so worried. She was given an anti-inflammatory, and anti-nausea meds. She drinks a little, and this morning ate a few bites of soft food. According to the DR she is doing very well for the trauma she experienced, but she is just so tiny (3.5 pounds). I worry.

Paris: Always in my ♥ Donating YT Member | OMG you poor thing! I hope your baby is resting and recovering! I had a similar thing happen to my dog Paris. He ran across the street barking at a large dog who promptly picked him up in his mouth and threw him up in the air!. He wasn't hurt thank goodness but it sure scared the crap out of me! Hope your baby is ok. |

Oh Wow. I hope it just had a mild concusion and will have a full recovery. she will probably be sore from bruising for few days. Did the vet give you anything for pain? I have a 3 1/2 pound little guy and the vet said 1/4 of a baby asprin.

Thank you all! We have always had large dogs, and this one is just so tiny. Zoey has now eaten (without throwing it up) and had a bm. Both of those things are a relief. Thank you again for your kind words.

Thank you all. Zoey had a good night and has had a good morning. She is currently ticked off about being in her crate. She has to be crated for a week (out for food, potty, etc). She hasn't cared about being in the crate until this morning.

Zoey is feeling much better. She continued to drink during the night, and had continued eating without the nausea. She has definitely improved. Thank you all for your kind words.
