| Update on Tucker The vet called me today and said they got the results back from the biopsies and he has a bad case of Helicobater pylori which is a bacterial infection in his stomach and intestines. We will be starting him on therapy of three different meds tomorrow when I can get to the vet to pick them up. His is deep into the tissues in his abdomen so she said that it has been going on for a while in which we have been fighting this for months. Hopefully we will finally get this taken care of. It took a biopsy and several hundreds of dollars later to finally find out what is going on with him, but money isn't the issue. Hopefully we will be getting this taken care of finally. |

| I had the Helicobater pylori several years ago. I was on a regiment of 3 diff antibiotics and an acid reducer for 1 month. The stomach pain was awful and the meds made a yucky metallic taste in my mouth that would not go away. Is this the same bacteria we humans can get? I feel sorry for you little guy, but I am glad he has been diagnosed, I hope he feels better soon.

| He is on famotidine which is the same as pepcid for acid, metronidazole and clavamox which I believe are the two antiobiotics and sucralfate which is to coat his stomach. Now we have four pills to take twice a day, what fun this is but I do have to admit that it is getting a little bit easier. |

| You were so smart to pursue the diagnosis! Now Tucker will finally get better and quit suffering, because I'm sure he was feeling pretty lousy and having pain. Tucker is blessed to have such a good Mommy!

| Great! I mean that he's been diagnosed.... I had trouble medicating my LS dog, but now she comes to me for her meds and has become really good about it.
