Yorkie Yakker | clotting disorder!? Well after 2 visits to the vet, ruling out pancreatitis, foreign body and colitis......now vet is thinking of bleeding disorder. When they drew his blood for cpl test he would not stop bleeding. we had to put pressure on for quite some time, but I am sure his blood pressure was elevated because he was getting poked and prodded (rectal exam). So now testing coagulation studies and also bile acids in case shunt is the cause of the bleeding issue. Any imput from all my yorkie loving friends? He does not seem to be sick or in pain...and his last 2 stools were clear of blood. However the day before he was still having bloody stools. No vomiting and the stools are not runny. Not so much grass eating last 2 days.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | They should be able to add a coagulation test and platelet count onto the blood work that was sent out if they took enough blood. also they could have gotten a blood pressure to check at the time. i would think that every hospital has a doppler to check blood pressure
