| PLEASE help!!! Sick yorkie My yorkie is very sick she is throwing up big piles. I feel so bad I don't know what to do. She is drinking a lot of water && also peeing very often. I have noticed some gooey fluid arround her poop. When people come arround she gets all hyper and is normal. But when everyone leaves and its just her and i she acts kind of sad. I have not changed anything like feeding habbits etc. I will take her to the vet tomorrow morning but for now any advise?? Please help. |

| I too hope someone has suggestions. We are in chat discussing the issue. Seems like maybe she ate something bad. She hasn't vomited in a while and is sleeping. I wish I could offer more (any) advice to you.

| I assume you are withholding food since she is vomiting? A bit of water is ok. Is the gooey stuff in the poop mucous? Perhaps her bowels are irritated. How old is she? Glad you are taking her to the vet tomorrow.

| If your dog is vomiting, do need feed her. Make sure water is available and see your vet tomorrow. She is vomiting and having mucousy stools, so her system needs a rest from food, otherwise I think you will be up all night with her continuing to vomit and have intestinal problems.

how much does she weigh? Are her gums sticky to the touch? white foam means she has emptied out stomach of all acids and it is now empty so only foam comes up is the stool yellow jelly like stool? Is she tossing and turning like she is in pain? when did this all start? and what did she eat within 12-24 hrs of this starting? Is she lethargic and depressed acting? could she have eaten anything to cause a blockage? any thing toxic in your house like sago palm? she is old enough to where you can withhold - you give kibble to absorb stomach acids only if it is a one time vomit but if excessive vomitting you have to get the cycle to stop Last edited by dwerten; 06-19-2010 at 07:14 PM.

I am on my bed she is on the floor jumping && licking my legs. She seems to be acting normal. She has been peeing a lot like way too much.she takes naps then wakes up like usual. |

If she is acting normal I would not be too concerned about pancreatitis as usually they are lethargic and in pain so that is good she is acting normal.
