| baby with diarrhea my baby just turned 11 months on Monday. He was fine on Sunday but Monday he started haveing diarrhea and large amounts of pee. He has some solid poops but then small bouts of diarrhea. I gave him some rice yesterday and tried to give him some this morning but he would only eat green beans. I did stop his kibble on Saturday/Sunday and switched his food a little and I know this can bother them but have done this before and have never had a problem like this. I have an appt. set up for him tomorrow eveining. he is playing fine and is not vomiting. any ideas?

| If I ever switch food I do it gradually over a one week period. Keep adding a little bit of the new food with the old. I would'nt switch to rapidly or this could cause the diarrhea. Glad you are going to the vet, these little ones can dehydrate quickly.

I was trying to get him off kibble so this the only thing that I really changed was to not incorporte it into his food. which he only would have a little in his bowl mixed with soft and green beans. I actually changed his appt. to tonight, I am hoping not serious but does have some signs of liver shunt. My poor baby. Thank you

| Wishing you luck at the vet...please keep me posted. If the vet does blood work, take a copy to post on the YT website. There are several experts here that can give you great advice. Sending prayers......

| Good news bad News I received a call from my children yesterday saying that my other dog now has diarrhea so that made me feel better in that Rebel has nothing serious wrong with him. I have 3 babies two yorkies (mom an son) and a daschaund (14 years old) My girl has allergies so she only gets special food. I had some vension left as I said cooked it and gave it to the other two, I think it was bad . I took Rebel into the vet and they said everything looked fine, he is playing, eating, peeing normal and no vomiting or fever. She said just a bout of colithis (sp ???) and gave me some antiboitics. I looked them both up in the kitchen last night to keep it confined and there was a few spots this moring but I believe they are from my older baby as he just started. I gave them both antibiotics and she said I should see improvement in 24 to 36 hours if after that I don't bring him in. My daughter will drop off a sample so they can test to ensure there are no parasites. thank you all. PS. I do believe that for peace of mine we will be taking him in within the next few weeks for a bile test.
