| Giardia...again. Kingston tested positive for Giardia again after completing his first round on Metronidazole/flagyl. I'm so frustrated because I've bleached and sanitized every corner of his area, have only been giving him bottled water in disposable bowls that I change twice a day, cleaning him with puppy wipes, and everything else I can think of. He doesn't even show symptoms. I'm starting another 7-day course of Metronidazole tonight which I'm dreading because the first round was rough, and that's an understatement. I've been searching everywhere to try and find out if this can be mixed with anything. I've heard about people mixing liquid meds with nutri-cal and I'm wondering if anyone knows if it would be okay to do that? I'd rather not have to make him see the syringe...Wish me luck. |

| I'm so sorry your little one is under the weather. I hope this second round does the trick. Do you know how he got giardia in the first place?

I'm positive he must have already had the parasites before I got him from the breeder because from the day I got him (which was about a month ago) he has never gone outside or been exposed to any other dog since he wasn't fully vaccinated at the time. | |

| I'm sorry to hear that. I really do hope your pup gets better. On the positive side, Kingston isn't showing signs right? You must be doing something right. I really do hope he gets better. My boy is getting over an upset tummy and I am a nervous wreck when he isn't feeling well. I can only imagine what you're going through.
