YorkieTalk Newbie! | My two dogs had war on eachother!! While I was at work my two yorkies both boys got into a big fight. Both were injured really bad. My oldest Tobey had lil gashes up and down on his right leg, a bite on one of his inner thighs, a big ball under his eye and the worst part he bit down on his top lip and his K9 tooth came thre the other side but was stuck. It looked really painful. I got home in a rush to get ready for a interview and find this. My younger dog Coach had a cut across his cheek and eye a little swolen but ok was able to run around and eat. Tobey could barely walk and was bleeding. I took him with me to my interview and then to vet. They were able to pull his tooth out of his skin and shaved the hair all around the cuts. Gave him a shot pretty much doggie Morphine and antibioctics and pain killers for home. So we nursed him all night and he is gettting better. I dont want to have to give one of them away but want them to be able to be around each other. They are both not fixed but we are planning on getting them fixed will this solve all the tension?

| Getting them fixed will removed all the hormones that can aggravate aggression, but the real cure will come with training. For now, keep them separated when you're not watching them to avoid a catastrophe. Good luck. Welcome back! I'm sorry it had to be under these circumstances.

| Do they normally get along? I agree - would keep them separated until you get things figured out. Definitely would consider neuter if not already done. |

I'd be freaked and have no experience but believe there's certain times dogs will go after each other for various reasons - but normally don't inflict severe pain. Are they ok ? Are they getting along now ?

Please, please do as she suggests. We've had Yorkies kill their companion. Hopefully neutering will help. There may be a female dog in heat in your area that set them off. I know owners who have been bitten by intact dogs when a female is in heat.

| Neutering will definitely help; it did in my case. We're all one happy family now!
