| help with ct My maltesse has ct and is 10 yrs old but lately she seems to be not as active and coughing more that before I have seen the vet before with this and they don't really say that they can give her anything for it so I am just wondering if any of you out there with dogs with this could give me some advice as to what meds you might be giving your dogs if possible and any other advice would be helpful. I know that she is 10yrs old and is just getting up there in age but I am thinking that there may be some kind of help. Her coughing maybe could be more than ct so I possibly may have to take her back in to be checked out. |

| My vet put my old guy on cough medication, as coughing can worsen the condition. Another member said her dog was on Imodium and it worked great. You could ask your vet, but if he is unwilling to treat, I would seek another vet's opinion.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry to hear about your baby. I would get another vets opinion. I had a yorkie with CT and they had her on a bronchodilator and some heart medicine as the CT had caused some heart damage. Hopefully a different vet will be able to help your little girl.

| I think I would get her a complete check up, especially since she is 10 yrs old. My cardiomyopathy dog was diagnosed after she started coughing. I'd think it would be easy to assume the coughing was from the CT, but what if there is something else going on.
