| i think i will be going to the vets tomorrow my dog coby climbs over stuff i really think hes hurt under hus stomach i notice his rib area feels like a bones kinder sticking out more he doent act hurt though it just feels strange, when i picked him up.. i feel this sticking kind out bone i didnt feel before ...i just posted in yorkie general about finding something to keep him from climbing because i was afraid of something like this happening--- well hes not in pain hes running around like nothing?? |

| Is it the last riba or in the middle ? Sometimes they have a funny little shape to those areas. Probably nothing to worry about but it's better to be safe then sorry. So a vet trip is probably for the best. |

| glad you posted this as dh keeps asking me to ask vet about dd ribs as she had that fall and hurt her leg off doggie stairs a year ago and it feels wierd there but she never acted like it hurt her and never knew this - I am still going to have them check it out but glad you posted this information - i swear i learn something knew every day about dogs lolll |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | a lot of people as this question about the last rib area. My guess is its the xyphoid process you are feeling or a floating rib. if you are concerned about it though i would ask a vet

| I was thinking it was the Xyphoid Process too. Humans have this too..........if you feel at your ribs right below the last rib. But of course if you are concerned a call to the vet is always a good idea.
