Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Rhett's got to stay at the Vets Yesterday afternoon, Rhett started vomiting mostly clear mucous. He didn't eat much dinner, but he seemed playful. He slept all the way through the night, which is unusual for him. This morning, he ate better (but didn't want to drink), but started the gagging/vomiting again. When I had him in his crate, he seemed to be breathing fast and was acting just generally uncomfortable. He also hasn't pooped since yesterday. I took him in to the vet's office. His tummy was tender, so she did an xray. Nothing specific (obvious blockage) is showing up, but she's going to keep him, give him an IV, medication for the vomiting and do a barium swallow xray on him. She wants to see if he ingested something he shouldn't have. It's going to be a long day. Keep him in your thoughts today. Hopefully nothing is seriously wrong. He still seem sooo little to me (though the little teapot weighed in at 5 lbs today!) The hardest part for me was that we were in the same exam room where we lost our golden, Jasmine, 2 years ago. It was the first time I had been back in that room. It just broke my heart to be holding him there while he wasn't feeling well.

| Praying Rhett is okay. Sorry you had to go through the pain of being in the room where you lost Jasmine. I know it's hard to deal with and an emotional time. |

| Sending up prayers for little Rhett, hope the vets are able to find out what is wrong and get him better soon. I know that had to be hard being in a place with such sad memories of your Jasmine. Sending hugs to you. Keep us posted on Rhett.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Got my little guy back. His stomach is fine, but it turns out he has pneumonia. That took the vet by surprise, because other than the rapid breathing, he wasn't showing any symptoms of it. She actually caught it on accident during the barium swallow xrays. He will be on antibiotics for 2 weeks and if it doesn't clear up, she will send him to a specialist. I'm so relieved to have him home.

| Always expect the unexpected. Important thing is you now know why he was uncomfortable and breathing funny. Wishing him a speedy recovery. Glad your baby is home. |
