| Yorkie shaking and hunching only when breathing inwards Sry to introduce myself this way, but my Yorkie on and off has been trembling very badly "ONLY" when breathing inwards. he was throwing up 2 days agao, and seems a bit thinned out, we got him some wet food mixed with dry food just so he would eat. also I have done alot of research and read about the hypoglycemia, so we went out and bought him some karo syrup. didn't seem to help the trembles when breating in. it seems like he's in pain but don't know for sure. I'm here to get advice on this issue b4 I rush him to the vet, beings we don't have alot of money. Any advice would be very greatful. P.S. I have no probs going in debt if yous really think I should take him to the vet, but I don't wanna go in debt for them to say he's fine. thnx, Chris |

| If he is having trouble breathing, and is losing weight, I would definitely get him to the vet. I realize you said that your are tight on finances, however, this sounds extremely serious to me. Please keep us updated on his visit, poor little thing. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I saw in your other thread where you got back from the vets and was glad to hear he had been seen by a vet. The shaking trembling while breathing reminded me of the only time Ruby has been really sick. She was doing the same thing, vomited a couple of times, and then the shaking when she would breath. Ruby had pancreatitis, and I was worried something serious might be going on with your boy.

| Could he have swallowed something that could partially be blocking his airway?

| OP post from other thread: Well, I'm back from the doggy ER. They checked him out, and decided to give him a dewormer, antinausea and antibiotics. they didn't take any xrays cause we spent everything we had just for the visit and what I just mentioned above. also we needed to save some money for his original vet tomorow. Oh! they also injected fluids under his skin so he wouldn't dehydrate from throwing up. They said it's best to inject the fluid under his skin so his body takes what it needs, not that they put too much fluid in his little body. he is a toy breed yorkie. Anyways, thats that for now. I'll be back on tomorrow, it's 2am here now and tired from worrying about little murphey. thnx alot to all of yous and cyas tomorrow. Nite/Thnx, Chris

| For future reference, not doing blood work is really not a good place to cut corners. The results of blood work are one of the best diagnostic tools a vet uses. I hope your pupster is better today!

| Yep...because they do carry more than just Lyme disease.
