| "bump" to keep active I'm not sure but don't like the coughing sound I hope one of the experts here can tell you, or get your baby to the vet if it carries on

| The sound isn't working for me and I can't really tell what she is doing. Can you explain it?

| It sounds like a reverse sneeze, but I'm not sure. She's making the noise through her nose and throat like hyperventilating. She did this on and off for about 5-10 minutes then stopped. |

| Okay. Hopefully so. I just hope she's not sick again! She's had 2 respiratory infections and she's only 4 months old |

| I think she tired herself out because she burrowed under the covers and fell asleep. Now I don't know if I'll be getting any sleep tonight because I"m so worried |

| Two respiratory infections? Or was it one that perhaps the first antibiotic did not take care of? That sounds to me like a reverse sneeze, but since she has been ill, I would watch her closely. Take her to the vet in the morning if she is continuing to do that. If she is asleep and breathing well, I would not worry too much....but do keep an eye out!

It's just little short coughs. Almost like choking...

| The vet said the second time couldn't have been a relapse because it was too long in between illnesses. So she concluded that Olive had gotten sick again. She has since stopped and is sleeping soundly, but her being sick so much makes me worry at the smallest things! Thank you all for your prompt responses. I should be able to rest easier now. Maybe I'll take a shower and bring her in the bathroom with me and the heat will help her like it does babies with croup? |

| That's what I thought, too, because she had just come from the kitchen where her food and water is. At first I thought she had stuck her nose in her water bowl and accidentally inhaled. I don't think she was choking, but if she was, she finally got it down. |

| Touch the inside of her ear to see if it is hot. That is a quick way to check for a fever. If she does this again and you think it is coughing, I would take her to an EC tonight.
