| Retching...but not throwing up. Mabel just came in from the backyard and now she is kinda retching and snorting but not throwing up. She has been doing this for about 30 minutes. She does not seem to be in any pain and is bright eyed. Well, right now she is sleeping, and breathing normaly, but every few minutes she snorts a little bit. She is 4 months old. I did not see her eat anything strange out there...but she is very sneaky so could she have eaten a bug?

| I don't know if it is the same, but last night my Bogie was doing the same thing. He hadn't been outside at all so I know he didn't eat anything. I had never heard him do anything like it. He sounded like he was gagging on something deep in his throat and his tummy felt like he was heaving. It was like he couldn't get a good breath. I called my DIL (vet tech) and I suddenly thought about when I had given baths last night I used the sprayer to rinse the hair on the bridge of his nose( usually just use a wet wash cloth) she said it sounded like he might have inhaled water and it was kind of stopping him up. He is fine today and I will never use the sprayer to rinse his face again. I was up half the night watching him because It sounded like he was choking. Did you maybe give your baby a bath. I believe I would call the vet about Mabel's symptoms. Keep us posted I hope little Mabel is ok.
