| Liver?? My litter of pups are getting ready for their new homes. I was going to keep one puppy. They are 8 weeks old. On Monday they went to the vet (the entire litter) and had their first set of vaccines. (No lepto-only the cores: distemper Parvo, heptatis, parainfluenza) Last night around 6 pm this one pup started erratic breathing and then he had a seizure! I had the vet on speed dial. She suspected hypoglemic. I gave him some karo and he actually stood up/perked up. I fed him a small amount of wet kibble. 45 minutes later he had another seizure. I was in the vets office within 10 min of that. His gums were white and he was breathing heavily. His heart was irregular. Vet suspected shock and administered steroid shot. Took glucose: normal. Ran x-rays and this is what is bizarre: he has fluid in his lungs. It is almost like he aspirated something. She asked if he had chewed on any electrical wires. That's a no. So there are three possible problems: 1) reaction to vaccines 2) did find an electric wire and I just haven't found the one he did 3) liver shunt I am waiting for the office to open at 7:30 am and will be back at the vets. Anyone have any words of wisdom/advice???? Thanks.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Seizures and reactions to vaccines are symptoms of liver shunt. Hope you get some answers this morning. Prayers for baby.
