| My furbaby just swallowed an earplug!! My husband was yelping.. then I heard him yell "bring back that earplug". I saw Chloe go running by with something in her mouth. I went to pick her up and she swallowed. It was one of those yellow earplugs that have a couple of tiers or layers. It's about 3/4" long and 1/2" wide. Will this pass or should I contact a vet?? |

| I'd be cautious and check her poop to make sure she passes it. If its any consolation, my friend's 3lb chihuahua swallowed an earplug and he was fine.

| She seems fine. I wouldn't have even known anything was up if not for my husband yelping. I thought about giving her peroxide but thought it might be better for it to come out the other end. I do feel better about the chihuahua. Thanks She may have chewed it in half so I'm thinking I'll just watch her closely tonight. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Don't give peroxide.... could do damage by it coming back up. I would probably wait to see if it passed, it most likely will if it's one of those spongy type ear plugs. This just happened here a couple of days ago with dh's Papillon. Only, I had no idea Scout had eaten the ear plug and found it in his stool. I keep warning dh about them and that at some point we're not going to get so lucky.
