| New Here with Sick Little Girl Hi all - I have an eleven year old little girl that has never had a health problem until lately. She is dx'ed with Imflamatory Bowl Disease/Lymphangeictasia. She spent five days in the hospital with transfusions for plasma. Brought her home yesterday with many, many meds. She is so weak it is breaking my heart. I really don't think she is going to make it as this is a very servere case quoting the vets. My question is - have any of you had this dx - severe - and your little one lived? Thanks Cherie |

| I'm so very, very sorry that she is so ill. I'm afraid I've no practical advice to give as I've no experience of this problem. One of mine did have IBS from being young but, after several useless courses of antibiotics, it turned out to be a food allergy & was controllable by careful diet. Has the vet given you any practical advice as to the best way to care for her? Thinking of you both & hoping it turns out better than you're dreading, take care. xx Meggie |

| I'm so sorry to hear about your girl. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. Please copy and paste the post you started this with and put it in the "Emergency-Sick" area. I think you'll get more responses there. Oh, and check back often. People come and go all day and hopefully your post won't get moved down too fast. Best Wishes!

Lymphangiectasia the plasma is a good start that helps alot did your dog have low protein, low calcium and low cholesterol as this disease seems to be popping up with vets alot lately - it is tied to dogs with ibd so does your dog have ibd ? | |
