Senior Yorkie Talker | GRAPHIC! Bella Threw Up! In a Weird Way... Hi everyone. I don't know if this should go under the sick forum but Bella threw up about 20 min ago, but it was really weird. DON'T READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH, SORRY. So it was really weird because it looked exactly like her poop! I saw it come out of her mouth and it was long just like her poop, but it was a grey color. If it was regular throw up I wouldn't worry because everyone throws up from time to time, but it looked so similar to her #2's. Is this common or has it happened to anyone else's baby? Should I worry about it? She's running and jumping around just fine, there is nothing different about her at all. Any advice? Please. Thanks. |

| That is weird. If it happens again I would save it and take it to the vet. |

| Maybe try calling the vet first, describe what happened over the phone, and ask whether it is anything worth bringing her over for? My vet never charges for this type of thing, and will let me know whether to bring my yorkie in or not for a check up. Your description reminded me of cat's hairball for some reason. Hopefully it is nothing to series, but I would definately recommend that you give your vet a quick call just to be sure. |

| That does sound like a hairball (I've seen it with our cats) but if she's still throwing up, I might would be a bit concerned. Good luck!

| My dog has done this in the past as well..normally it was shortly after getting into the garbage and most of it was some type of kleenex, paper, etc. but did look a lot like #2 (when I saw it I though, really Duke...in the house? until I realized it didn't smell and wasn't poop). Did she get into/eat anything shouldn't have? |

Senior Yorkie Talker | It really does sound like a hairball. I know when my cats toss their cookies it looks like a poopoo. However, never smells, but is still tummy turning to clean up. :-X

| My dog hadn't pooped in a while so it backed up and came out the other end! He ended up having just a hard stool blockage from something he ate. Could have been serious, bc once they start throwing up. And if they're blocked, it can damage the intestines. Ha! My dog ate a hairball that my cat had thrown-up!
