| My baby got a rabies shot and now he is in pain and wont or cant walk on his foot. He got the shot Thursday and this is Sat. Shouldn't he be better by now? Should I take him to the vet? He is 4 yrs old and never had this happen before.

| He said it was a reaction to the shot. He said it happens sometimes and it probably was not going to happen again.

| When Duke got his last round of puppy shots that included his rabies we had trouble with him. When they gave him the shot he immediately started dragging his bottom around on the floor and whining. For the remainder of that afternoon he kept doing this and turning around to lick himself. The vet said the shot might burn him a little. Maye you had a similar situation, but I think 3-4 days is a bit much. Glad he's feeling better.

| I don't know if it's the same in CA, but I believe, in Texas, if a dog has a reaction to a rabies shot, the vet can make a decision, legally, for the dog not to have any more rabies shots...Then you can decide if there is more risk w/another rabies shot, or more risk that he will contract rabies...I would definitely do titers (think that's how you spell it?), before I'd give another shot to a pup that had already had a reaction.......Sooooooo glad your baby is doing better |

| Glad to hear he is ok now. Sandy had his shot last month and he was very inactive and was licking himself all the time. But he was fine the second day, playing, running and like nothing's happened. |
