Donating YT 30K Club Member | Question on giardia and diet The Pom puppy I am fostering tested positive for giardia after a normal fecal the day before I got her. As a result, my 3 have been exposed to her daily and she is on Panacur for 7 days. I called my vet and she said she would rather not treat my girls but at the first sign of infection she would do a fecal and give metrodrozinole( her preference over Panacur). The puppy is on day 3 of Panacur and showing no signs of improvement and is losing weight but is very energetic. Does anyone know , I forgot to ask the vet, if I should be feeding her anything special like rice to help with the diahrea? Thanks so much for any help, this is my first time fostering and I am pretty nervous.

| It probably cant hurt to give the chicken and rice my vet always suggests it when mine have diahrea even if they are on meds for it. Giardia can take awhile to get rid of and they can easily become reinfested with it
